The letters after my name, display my achievements towards my educational endeavors. They don’t necessarily draw a clear picture of my on-going passion for helping others. My path helping others is my journey and just happens to be part of my career.

I started working with “at risk” children and teens fifteen years ago as a Wilderness Therapist. I combined my deep connection to nature with my underlying desire to help people. I eventually took my skills from the woods to the classroom. As a Special Education Teacher for ten years, I worked with children, teens and young adults who struggled with a variety of mood disorders and disabilities. I spent the last four years of my teaching career as the Lead Behavior Interventionist at a College and Career High School.  While working as a Behavior Interventionist, I obtained my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. In 2018, I had the opportunity to build a disability program for a national non-profit. For three years, I ran this program and provided services to people in the St. Louis community living with disabilities. I am a true believer in the power of human connection and the ability of relationships to foster growth and transformation. Please see my areas of specialty below:
